The Wyck Godfrey/Epic Games team are hype masters. Instead of writing story--rugged story--which took Tolkien a lifetime, the fanboy faddists want to take the easy way out--hype, hype, hype & ambulance-chasing movie production.
Make no mistake--there is no story for Gears of War.
There was none in the video game, even though cliffyb (Microsoft) claimed there was.
And there is no story for the movie.
You will find few people who detest story more than Wyck Godfrey/CliffyB/Stuart Beattie. For story requires Truth, and Truth is the opposite of corporate Wall Street Hype.
There will be no GOW movie, and if there is, it will suck as much as Godfrey's other movies:
