Christian Slater, Lindsay Lohan, Anthony Hopkins, and Sean Connery vs. fanboy Hollywood Hacks Beattie/Godfrey/Cliffyb

True talent has been run out of Hollywood by the fanboy hacks with rotten tomato ratings.

http://www.thisislondon.co.uk/theatre/article-23416744-details/How%20the%20bad%20boy%20beat%20the%20Hollywood%20sharks/article.do reports on the talented Christian Slater:
Today he says he has huge sympathy for self-destructive young stars such as
Lindsay Lohan (who he met on the set of his last film, Bobby). "There are a lot of vipers out there. I'm sure it's hard for these young girls to find people they can really trust. There is an element of use you up and spit you out. "My heart certainly goes out to Lindsay. She is a very talented girl, everyone loves her, but you know she's a young girl. Who are we to judge or condemn?" We all make mistakes, he says, that's how we learn.

Would that Wyck Godfrey were seeking out and developing true, profound stories, novels, and scripts, instead of chasing storyless, plotless fanboy fads such as Gears of War, and then hyping the project to the media as soul and family died.

Wyck had better wise up that his first and foremost concern ought to be art and the souls and spirits of the young starlets, instead of amoral, bottom-line oriented hollywood hack hype that routinely receives rotten scores on Rotten Tomatoes:

Regarding the fanboy producer/hacks, Sir Sean Connery states,

I'm fed up with the idiots, the ever-widening gap between people who know how to make movies and those who green light them. I don't say they're all idiots - I'm just saying there's a lot of them. –Sir Sean Connery, 007

And here’s Sir Anthony Hopkin’s take on the decline, from:
www.thisislondon.co.uk

The Hollywood star's latest film, The World's Fastest Indian, is a true
story about a New Zealander motorcyclist who broke the land speed record.

Sir Anthony said of the movie: "No sex or violence, and that's refreshing.
"I'm also tired of the camera moving all over the place, with car chases so cut and edited you don't know what's happening. "It's condescending. Audiences aren't so mindless as movie-makers think." He added: "If you look at The Shining or Fargo, they photograph it and let actors tell a story. That's the old-fashioned way. I hope it comes back." The Silence of the Lambs star added that he would not put up with "tyrannical" directors any longer, adding: "I don't take this acting business seriously ... I enjoy acting more now than ever because I treat it as an enjoyable hobby. "I can't get caught up in the self-importance. People bow to your every wish and you forget where you come from and what you're doing," he told the magazine. "I recently worked with two actors who wouldn't come out of their trailers for some reason. "Can you figure that out? It's insanity. Or they complain because their trailers aren't big enough. "Bulls***. It's a job, like any other, so don't make a big deal. Be
polite, treat the crew with respect and don't think you're different.

Anthony Hopkins has a 60% fresh tomamto meter reading. His freshest movie is Remains of the Day (100%), which is about C.S. Lewis--another class act.

Would that Wyck Godfrey and his Hollywood hack production machine respected Shakespeare and the Bible as did C.S. Lewis. But he just keeps on chasing ambulances: http://www.phillyburbs.com/pb-dyn/news/111-10202007-1426777.html

Note that Godfrey is not seeking out classic books, nor novels, nor epic stories, but he is choosing to lead with picture-books, video games, spectacle, hype, and news-driven events, as the money-machine studio sees that it already has gotten linked on the web, and thus lowers the costs of publicity and their risk. There're a thousand great novels/scripts/stories with rugged heroes, but Hollywood fanboys won't touch them, as they lack the artistry and skill. Many of them do not read. It would be fun to grab a beer with Wyck or Fliffyb and talk about Moby Dick or Hamlet, but the snarky-snarks just don't think the classics are cool. They have been beaten and whipped by feminist deconstructionists thier whole lives, and have consigned themselves to rotten tomato-meter readings and soulless Hollywood product from the Hollywood Matrix/Death Star/Scottish Nobles/Sauron--New Line.

Sir Sean Connery has a 65% fresh tomato reading, with another 100% movie rating--the Man who Would be King. http://www.rottentomatoes.com/celebrity/sean_connery/

Lohan and Slater both have Tomato Ratings in the 40's--still Way Above Wyck Godfrey's in the 20's. And the reason why Lohan and Slatyer have lower ratings than Hopkins and Connery is that the Godfreys have been taking over and exiling true artists and storytellers--profound craftsmen of the immortal soul.

It's time for Godfrey/Beattie/Cliffyb et al to leave Hollywood and find new jobs doing something useful, instead of corrupting culture with their fanboy hype tactics and fanboy ambulance-chasing production strategies. I hope they find time to actually read a book, before driving on dwon Sunset in their Ferraris/Lambroguinis, yelling, "GEARS OF WAR IS AN EPIC STORY AND EPIC ART!!!"
