More Hilarious Hype From Cliffb: Boy, Will The Gears of War Movie Ever Suck < 28% Rotten Tomatoes Rating Predicted

One of the funniest things about Cliffyb is how he leads with spectacle-bangaty-bangs, hype, and complete BS. As well-documented through the internet and this blog, he has been hyping the "story" in GoW for some years now. Several publications have called him on it, as discussed throughout the net, but the lying/hyping fanboy has no shame.

With 28% rotten-tomato-rating/New Line-ambulance-chasing producer Wyck Godfrey attached, the GoW movie is going to suck for sure.

How’s the Gears movie coming along? What’s happening with it these days? We’ve had numerous drafts of the script, and right now they’re putting out feelers for directors, but we really haven’t announced anything beyond that.

Stu knows the universe inside and out, he was surprising with the amount of detail that he knew. He’s asking me what kind of money is used in the Gears universe, and Rod (Fergusson, GOW producer) and I were looking at each other like, ‘Did we ever name that?’ and he’s like, ‘Well yeah, you guys actually mentioned “bucks” at one point,’ and I’m like ‘Yeah, I guess we did!’ Things like that.
Any time you get a Hollywood writer who wants to do an adaptation, the best guy you can always get is a guy who’s a fan of whatever he’s working on (HE'S A FAN OF GEARS/AND GEARS HAS NO STORY!!!!!), ’cause he’s not doing it for the money (WTF??? WYCKYG ONLY LOOKS AT MOVIES AS MONEY MACHINES. HE HATES ART. LOOK AT HIS 28% TOMATO RATING. WHY WOULD BEATTIE WORK WITH HIM?? BEATTIE ONLY WRITES FOR THE MONEY!!!!! )-- he’s doing it because he loves the property.

CLIFFYB HAS A PROBLEM TELLING THE TRUTH, AND STORY REQUIRES TRUTH.

He wants to see it as a cool film. But money’s nice too. Of course. We all like to eat.

MAKE NO MISTAKE--WYCKYG IS CONCERNED ONLY IN MONEY MONEY MONEY. WYCKYG'S HOLLYWOOD CANNOT AFFORD STORY, AS STORY IMPLIES TRUTH, AND WYCKYG PROFITS FROM FANBOY HYPE. THAT IS WHY THEY ARE EXILING ALL THE REAL WRITERS AND ARTISTS.

You probably always imagined you were going to be in the video game business, but did you ever imagine they’d be making movies based on your creations? It’s kind of secretly always been my plan. I love movies, I love graphic novels, I love all forms of media, but at the same time I’ve always felt that some of the most creative minds are in the gaming business, and I felt that with the right people attached to the right projects you can make an incredibly compelling film based on games. It’s just a matter of ironing out the kinks and getting a generation of producers and writers who really ‘get’ games, and know what works well with a game, and what will work well with a film, and knowing what the right compromises are.

HA AHAAHAHA!!! IT'S JUST A MATTER OF HIRING SOME WRITERS.

BOY, IS GEARS OF WAR EVER GOING TO SUCK.

AND THE WORST THING IS THAT WYCKYG & CLIFFYB HAVE TO PARTICIPATE IN UNDERHANDED LIES/HYPE/BS, TO DIVERT FUNDS FROM TRUE WRITERS AND ART, ALL FOR THEIR BOTTOM LINE.

What it all comes down to is that CliffyB, WyckyG, and StuartB are not man enough to write a novel nor pen an epic story.

They will never know King Leonidas's rugged soul, nor the higher art of 300 and Lord of The Rings.

They are Golem who has grabbed teh ring of hype to serve Wall Street Hedge Funds & New Line--they are the hunchback in 300, who incapable of the glory of battle of true art--relegate themselves to kneeling before Xerxes--Wall Street's bottom line, to have a few pennies tossed their way.
